Our Membership Philosophy
Congregation Beth El welcomes all who wish to find a sense of community within our walls and to be a part of Jewish life in Fort Bend County.
First, let’s introduce ourselves
Congregation Beth El is a vibrant, multi-generational Reform synagogue that has been in Fort Bend County for more than 40 years. We offer an inclusive and intimate environment where every Jewish voice is welcome. We would love you to join in the conversation.
Our Membership Leadership
Hi, I’m Sarah the Membership VP for Congregation Beth El. My family loves CBE! We feel blessed to find a warm and safe environment where we can pray, learn and socialize in a Shul that is also enriching and enjoyable. I work with a team of fabulous volunteers who come together to promote membership and enhance membership value.
Why Become A Member?
Become a member so you can officially join our family and stand with us as a pillar of Judaism in Fort Bend County, for both current generations and generations to come. Membership is understood to be a Mitzvah. We honor this Mitzvah through our religious school, voting rights, High Holy Day worship (at no additional charge) and access to our clergy’s services for life cycle events and other personal needs.
How To Become a Member
Sign up online through this link.
You can also print our membership form, fill it out, and return it to our office, either by mail or by scanning it in and emailing it to our front office. (Link to your right)
Once we receive your packet we will be in touch regarding our membership system and upcoming events.
Calculating Your Annual Commitment
Congregation Beth El allows members to pay according to their abilities. Please see the membership page for more details.
Associate Membership
Associate Membership is for families that belong to another synagogue but would like to join and support Congregation Beth El.
While not eligible to receive High Holy Day tickets (other than through Reciprocity), vote at the Annual Meeting or enroll in our Religious School, an Associate Member does receive all congregational communications, can serve on committees (but not as the Chair), and participate in all other aspects of synagogue life. In addition, if there are teen children living at home, they may join our Jewish Life Lab (JLL) and BEFTY programs as well.
