Our Membership Philosophy

Congregation Beth El welcomes all who wish to find a sense of community within our walls and to be a part of Jewish life in Fort Bend County.

Why Become a Member?
Membership is understood to be a mitzvah. Every congregation depends on the financial support of members in order to operate. At Congregation Beth El, we recognize this support as a sacred gift and that you trust in us to continue Jewish life in Fort Bend Country. Everyone is welcome to participate in most that we have to offer, but only those who are members of CBE are entitled to enroll their children in our religious school, given voting privileges, invited to holy day worship services without charge, and have access to the clergy’s services for life cycle events and other personal needs.

How to Become a Member
Please see our membership form on the right side of this page. Please print, fill it out, and return to our office, either by mail or by scanning it in and emailing it to our front office. Once we receive your packet we will be in touch regarding our membership system and upcoming events. You may also sign up online.

Calculating Your Annual Commitment
Congregation Beth El allows members to pay according to their abilities. The final page of the membership packet in the dues commitment form with guidelines and ranges by salary. Please select what is appropriate and know you can pay annually, quarterly, or monthly, whichever is easiest for your family. We urge you to contact us if you would like to discuss the financial commitment and we refer you to our confidential financial committee. Our doors are open to all and we are always willing to work with you.
