Happy August to y’all! It’s been a HOT HOT HOT summer and we are all geared up for some COOL youth programming. The Beth El Federation of Temple Youth, aka “BEFTY” is alive and well! We are excited to be able to offer a little something for everyone in grades 6-12 while building relationships and making lifelong memories. Some of this years programming will be centered around mitzvot - volunteering at a food bank or collecting items to donate, for example. Some programs will be educational and teach us a little something new about ourselves, our community, and Judaism; and some will be a mix of all the above! One common ingredient of all the programs is FUN and FRIENDSHIP!

Our first event will be on Saturday, August 13th at 3:30 p.m. at the synagogue. We’ll be trying our hand at making sushi. That’s right! We’re gonna rock and roll, figuratively and literally. We’ll be learning how to roll our very own sushi and get to spend some time together planning out what other BEFTY events we would like to have this year.
