FAQs about the High Holy Days at Beth El

Do we need High Holiday tickets this year?
Yes!  We will be paperless again this year.  When you receive your digital ticket, you can print it, save a photo to your phone, or take a screenshot of your ticket and save it to your phone.  Everyone must show their tickets to an Usher to enter the sanctuary.

When will I receive my tickets?
Beth El members in good standing will receive their tickets by email no later than September 5.

What if I don't get an email?
The digital process should not delay your tickets in any way, but just in case, we will have membership lists at the help desk to admit you.   If you did not receive your ticket, don't hesitate to get in touch with the shul office at 281.499.5066 or send an email to admin@betheltx.org.

I am a Beth El member in good standing but would like to attend services at another synagogue. What do I do?
We can send a letter of reciprocity on your behalf to the synagogue where you would like to attend, stating you are a member in good standing and requesting tickets to their services. However, it is ultimately up to that congregation whether they can accommodate you.  Contact the shul office at 281.499.5066 or send an email to admin@betheltx.org to request a letter of reciprocity.

I am a dues-paying member of another congregation and would like to attend Beth El for High Holy Days. How can I receive a ticket?
Have your home congregation send a letter of reciprocity to admin@betheltx.org.  The letter should state that you are a member in good standing, the number of tickets requested, and your contact information. Once this is received, we will email your tickets to the email provided by your home congregation.

I am not a congregation member anywhere, but I would like to attend Beth El for the High Holy Days.  Are tickets available?
YES, welcome to Congregation Beth El.

College students will be admitted to any service by showing their 2023-2024 school ID at the door.

Active military will be admitted to any service by showing their current military ID at the door.

Please click here to request guest tickets.  While we do not require guests to purchase tickets, we appreciate donations to our synagogue.

We encourage you to join Beth El today if you live in or near Fort Bend County.  Contact us at 281.499.5066 or admin@betheltx.org to learn more.

How do I know if my membership account is clear?
If your account was paid up through June 2023, your account is current. Check your last statement.

Can my family members attend if they are not Beth El members?
We will accept tickets from other local synagogues. If your family members have tickets from other synagogues (and photo ID), we will admit them. If they are unaffiliated, please have them call or email for guest tickets.
