If you woke up hungry on Yom Kippur and felt those pangs throughout the day, you probably found yourself counting down the hours until break-fast. For many of us, that hunger is temporary and symbolic. But for some families in our community, it’s an everyday reality. Too many of our neighbors live with food insecurity, where going hungry isn’t just a once-a-year observance, but a constant struggle.

Over the High Holy Days, our community came together in generosity and compassion. Through our Annual Food Drive, we collected 567 pounds of non-perishable goods to help restock the shelves at the East Fort Bend Food Bank.
